TV Meerhoven is a small, cozy association that organizes fun tennis activities throughout the season for its members.
In this website, you shall find the most important and useful information about our tennis club. The information on this page shall notify you – our (new/ would-be members) about all the activities of our tennis club.

Registration
for the new training season
is now open.
Registrations for tennis training will be digital from now on and can be done until September 19th.
You will find the explanation in the attachment, using this website: https://bmt.plannedtennis.nl/inschrijven/
(make an account and select TV Meerhoven). For each family member you have to make an individual account.
The options are identical to last season.
Adults/Seniors: 18x training in groups of 4 or 8 people.
Youth/Kids: 37x training in groups of 8.
All youth who joint the “selection-training" last year can now do this again (select same duration). If you joined this last year, we assume you will subscribe for this again, if this is not the case, please let us know: info@bmttennis.nl & training@tvmeerhoven.nl.
Classes start the week of October 3.
You may reach the park only via car through the street "Waterlinie".
TV Meerhoven presently have 8 smashcourt courts which are beautifully lit by LED lights. In addition, there is a tennis wall at the park. For our younger members, there is a beautiful playground where the children can play safely.
At the moment we are busy finding out if offering Padel tennis at our club can be made available to our members.
FEEL AT HOME AT TV MEERHOVEN
Besides offering the sport and having a sport interest, TV Meerhoven also has the social interest at heart.
Through various activities we ensure that new members quickly feel at home and have the opportunity to find a tennis buddy within the club. If you desire, we shall try to find a doubles partner for you, for the ladder competition or for the tournaments.
We have a nice bar, and by having a drink together after a match, you can easily make contact with others and get to know the club.
Because the members themselves take on the bar duties, the costs are low and it promotes social contact between the members.
As a new member you do not work the bar shifts alone, other members are there to guide and help you. Everyone is willing to walk the extra mile to help new members and make them feel at home within the club.

ACCESSIBILITY
Randweg Eindhoven ring road (N2) exit 29 Eindhoven Airport.
Continue straight ahead until you reach a roundabout after about 2.5 km. Here you go left, third exit around the Waterlinie. After 400 meters you will see the tennis park on your right at the end of the road.
Randweg Eindhoven (N2) exit 31 Veldhoven.
You go under the Hovenring straight ahead and follow the road that bends to the left (Meerhovendreef). Follow this road for about 1.5 km until the roundabout. Here you turn right, onto the Houtwal. After the bicycle path (watch out for cyclists!) the road changes into the Waterweg. After 400 meters there is a junction where you turn right. You will then drive on the Waterlinie and you will see the tennis park at the end of the road on the right.

Access to the park
Other than on the occasion of competition days, party nights and tournaments, the park is only accessible to members who are in possession of an access key. This key is issued together with the membership card given to the juniors, students and adults. Of course, this does not apply to the days there are league matches and tournaments; then visitors and supporters are very welcome and the gate can be left open all day.
Changing rooms
At the back of the pavilion you will find two changing rooms. These are accessible from the outside of the pavilion. The dressing rooms are open every day. We ask for your cooperation to keep them tidy.
Club clothing and equipment
In order not to damage the tennis courts we kindly ask you to wear tennis shoes.
In addition, you will need a racket and tennis balls. You are free to wear your preferred sportswear.
KNTLB (The Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association)
As a member of TV Meerhoven, you are also a member of the KNLTB. From the tennis association we receive passes for all members. When you participate in the competition or in an open tournament organized by the KNLTB at another tennis club, you need to have this pass or badge with you. You will also need the KNLTB pass if you are going to play free tennis for our checkout system.
CANTEEN "DE BINNENBAAN"
In "De Binnenbaan", we have our cozy canteen is our cozy canteen. Here you can have a drink after playing tennis.
We also have snacks such as sandwiches, croquettes, chocolate bars, to satisfy your appetite for small occasions.
During competitions and tournaments we often have a pleasant crowd here due to the spectators who come visiting. There are games for the children in the clubhouse; there is also a playhouse in the park. We would like to urge all members to step into the clubhouse after their tennis match.
We also have a beautiful terrace with large tables. The terrace is partially roofed and has a patio heater, making it a comfortable place even on less warm days.
Drinks and parties are also held in "De Binnenbaan". The closing ceremony of the KNLTB competition and the festive evenings of the open tournament and the club championships, are always nice and pleasant events in our club.
MEMBERSHIP
TV Meerhoven is an accessible club for tennis and padel enthusiasts of all levels. In Meerhoven, is an indispensable part of Meerhoven. It also plays a social role in strengthening the contacts in the neighborhood. More and more children are discovering the sport of tennis sport and are choosing TV Meerhoven.
NOTE: THERE IS CURRENTLY A TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PADEL MEMBERSHIP FOR ADULT MEMBERS AND STUDENTS
In principle, T.V. Meerhoven only has one membership: the tennis and padel combination. However, due to the enormous traffic on our padel courts, we have decided to add an extra membership: the Tennis-Only membership.
COMBI MEMBERSHIP TENNIS AND PADEL (temporarily not offered to new members 17+)
- Unlimited access to hanging out tennis courts
- Unlimited access to hangout on padel courts
- Access to all facilities related to tennis and padel such as:
- Possibility to register for tennis lessons and padel lessons (additional costs)
- Possibility to register for tennis and padel competitions (additional costs)
- Possibility to join internal ladder competition tennis and padel
- Activation of tennis and padel on player card so you can participate in external tournaments, among other things
TENNIS-ONLY MEMBERSHIP
- Unlimited access to hangout tennis courts
- Access to hang out padel courts during off-peak hours (Mon-Fri 8:00am-17:00pm, Sat-Sun 2:00pm-23:00pm). The board reserves the right to adjust these times in the future.
- Access to all facilities related to tennis such as:
- Possibility to register for tennis lessons (additional costs)
- Possibility to register for a tennis competition (additional costs)
- Possibility to join an internal ladder competition
- Activation of tennis on your player card so you can participate in external tennis tournaments.
- Place on waiting list for Padel
Membership of the club is for a minimum of 1 subscription year and is renewed by 1 year, unless cancellation request is made in writing before 1 November. The contribution year runs from 1 January to 31 December.
TV Meerhoven has different types of members:
Adults: Members of 24 years and older (reference date is 01 January)
Students: Members from 17 years old to 23 years old (reference date is 01 January)
Juniors: Members from 8 years old to 16 years old (reference date is January 01)
Preschoolers: Members up to 7 years of age (reference date is January 01)
Dormant Members: One can become a dormant member ONLY if one is already a member of TV Meerhoven.
If a member wants to make use of this, one can indicate this at the time of membership administration before
01 November prior to the concerning calendar year.

TENNIS LESSONS
TV Meerhoven offers the possibility to take tennis lessons under expert guidance. These lessons are given on the outdoor courts of Tennisvereniging Meerhoven. These tennis lessons are meant for beginners, advanced players and for players wishing to participate in competition. Everyone who takes lessons has to be a member of Tennisvereniging Meerhoven.
A local organization, BMT is chosen to give the training, and think about possibilities regarding the training.

You may come in your Sportswear and sports shoes. TV Meerhoven provides the rackets, balls and the trainer.

LADDER COMPETITION
Throughout the year you can participate in the ladder competition at TV Meerhoven. You can play the ladder competition in both the singles and doubles. There is a summer round and a winter round. During the ladder competition you play against your club mates.
You can indicate your availability for each round. You choose 1 or 2 matches per round (two weeks). You fix the day and time with your opponent. You play for an hour and count the games.
"It is an ideal way to get to know other tennis players, to be active and to keep your tennis skill up to date.”
YOUTH COMPETITION
The young members of our club can participate in the tennis competition.
There is a possibility to register your child for each competition round. Our trainers will then put the teams together. Depending on age, the children play for Tenniskids or Junior level Competitions. Competitions are played on a number of Sundays.
Tenniskids for children: Tenniskids is the KNLTB tennis program for children up to 12 years old. The Tenniskids program consists of several phases. For our youngest youth, there is Tenniskids Red (up to and including 8 years of age). After that, you move on to Orange (8 to 10 years) and finally to Green (10 to 12 years). After Green, a child is completely ready to play tennis on the entire court with the familiar yellow ball. The children can participate in the Tenniskids program both during the spring and in the fall. For 7 or 8 Sundays matches are played both on our own tennis park as well as at other participating associations.
Children from 11 years can participate in the Junior competition. They play matches on a whole court and with ordinary (yellow) tennis balls. The KNLTB Juniors competition consists of two competitions: the Juniors competition 11 to 14 years and the Juniors competition 13 to 17 years. Here too, children can sign up and are then assigned by our trainers. We offer the competition during spring, autumn and winter.
Young players aged 11 and 12 can play in Tenniskids or in the Juniors. Our trainers decide when a child may move on to the juniors level.
Prior to the start of the competition, a team presentation takes place. The trainers announce the competition teams during this presentation. A captain is also appointed for each team. Our association does not charge extra fees for participatiing in the Tenniskids or the Juniors competition. We expect an active and involved attitude from parents/guardians.

PROFENCO OPEN
The Profenco Open tournament is the famous Open Tournament of TV Meerhoven. This tournament is known for its cozy and casual atmosphere.
The tournament always takes place in week 26.
As usual, the committee ensures a cozy and tasty "decoration" of the tournament, so we can confidently guarantee that you will not be short of anything!

"THUISBLIJVERS" TOURNAMENT
Every year, TV Meerhoven organizes the "Thuisblijverstoernooi" during the summer holidays for everyone who is not on vacation. The sunniest tournament of TV Meerhoven!
The stay-at-home tournament is a tournament that is all about fun and a nice game of tennis
It is played in groups so that everyone can play at least 2 to 3 matches. The tournament is played on weekdays for a week and ends together on Sunday.
A drink and a snack are of course not missing.
If you don't have a partner, you can still register. The organization will then try to find you a partner.

FREE TENNIS
Members of TV Meerhoven are free to play on the tennis courts at times when the courts are not reserved for activities, competition and tennis lessons.
TV Meerhoven works with a compulsory and digital checkout system that you can use with your KNLTB pass. You may reserve the courts via the club app.
